About Cadence Counseling Services

Cadence Counseling Services provides compassionate, relational therapy for individuals and couples in Springdale, Arkansas and throughout Northwest Arkansas. Our approach is grounded in meaningful relationships, clear communication, and evidence-based care that supports lasting growth.


We believe therapy works best when clients feel heard, understood, and supported at their own pace. At Cadence, counseling is never rushed or transactional. Each session is intentional, personal, and focused on helping you move forward with clarity and confidence.

Our Therapists

Cadence Counseling Services is home to a team of licensed, experienced therapists who are committed to providing high-quality care in a supportive environment. Each therapist brings their own background, training, and areas of focus, while sharing a common commitment to ethical, compassionate practice.


Our team includes clinicians trained in trauma focused therapy, EMDR, cognitive behavioral approaches, anger management, and relationship counseling. We work collaboratively to ensure clients are matched with the therapist and approach that best fits their needs.

Reba Byrd, MWS, LCSW

Building and maintaining a trusting and genuine relationship with clients is how real change happens. My goal is to empower individuals and families to work through challenges and process emotions in a safe, supportive space. I believe individuals can achieve their personal goals through consistency and support. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Arkansas and am trained and certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Jason Cates, LCSW, CSAM

 I graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Social Work in 2015 and then secured a Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California in 2016. I became a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) with the state of Arkansas in 2019. Additionally, I am a Certified Specialist in Anger Management (CSAM). My approach to direct therapy is both genuine and authentic with clear and concise positive regard for my clients.

Tabitha Wert, LCSW

I am a graduate from the University of Arkansas, obtaining my BSW and MSW prior to earning my LCSW. I have been a member of the Arkansas Army National Guard since 2008 and have been deployed overseas multiple times. I am a mother and understand the hardships parents and families face. I describe myself as a lifelong learner and frequently attend training events on the best treatment modalities available. I have extensive experience working with Veterans, individuals and families.

Jennifer Scoggins, LCSW

My goal is to utilize a person-centered, holistic approach to treatment for the clients and families that I serve. I love working with all populations and my specialty is trauma-informed care.  I graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2018 with my Master of Social Work Degree. I am certified in Child-Parent Psychotherapy. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my two daughters and husband.

Jamie Moog, LCSW

Taking the first step toward mental wellness can be daunting. I’m here to meet with you authentic kindness and empathy as you begin to make changes to better yourself and your life. I specialize in trauma, disordered eating, body image, anxiety, and stress management. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a range of difficulties. I have training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy for the evidence based treatment of trauma.

Michael Gerardo, LCSW

Michael is an empathetic and devoted therapist who specializes in logotherapy, which emphasizes finding meaning in life's challenges. With a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas Christian University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Arkansas—Fayetteville. Utilizing logotherapy techniques, he empowers clients to find purpose and meaning. Michael is passionate about promoting resilience, growth and helping clients develop coping strategies.

Elizabeth Schlosser, LCSW

Healing begins with connection, and I’m here to walk alongside you through life’s most challenging moments. I have experience supporting individuals of all ages and backgrounds, specializing in trauma, anxiety, grief and loss, and life transitions. My background includes providing support to individuals in a variety of settings, including most recently as a bereavement counselor in hospice care. I am passionate about creating a safe, compassionate space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered in their healing journey.
